He married Mary Ann Trent in Washington, VA, US, March 25, 1852. Mary was born in Washington, VA, US July 1826. Mary⁽³⁵²⁾ was the daughter of Greenville Barnard "Green" Trent and Sarah B "Sally" Thomas. Mary died after 1900.

Andrew E Thomas and Mary Ann Trent had the following children:

372 v. Charity Jane Thomas⁽³⁵³⁾ was born in VA, US 1862. Charity died after 1880.
